Davis, Jr., \u201950, Department of Civil, Environmental, and Construction Engineering<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-mission\"><em>Mission<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To provide a\u00a0nationally-recognized, student-centered learning environment for development of principled leaders in the civil, environmental and construction engineering communities through a broad-based, rigorous curriculum, emphasizing theoretical and practical engineering concepts, strong professional values, and a disciplined work ethic.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-core-values\"><em>Core Values<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Prioritizing All 糖心VLOGs<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We believe that education, development, empowerment, and welfare of our students are the primary focus of our efforts and conveys the greatest\u00a0<strong>honor<\/strong>\u00a0to the students who have committed to our programs.\u00a0Inclusion and outreach embrace the recruitment and retention of students of all backgrounds and both sexes that\u00a0represent\u00a0the diversity of our community, state, nation, and world and emphasizes the unity of engineers working to sustainably support humanity filling the earth and subduing it.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Engaging in a Collaborative Teaching and Learning Environment<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u00a0believe\u00a0a collaborative collegial environment among our faculty, staff, and students sustains advancement in educational excellence, fostering\u00a0<strong>respect<\/strong>\u00a0between differing perspectives and opinions.\u00a0Innovation throughout the curriculum and co-curriculum includes encouraging curiosity and\u00a0establishing\u00a0connections through our teaching.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Developing Principled Engineering Leaders<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We believe the engineering profession requires the highest professional and ethical standards; we have a\u00a0<strong>duty<\/strong>\u00a0to model,\u00a0teach,\u00a0and prepare our students to embrace these standards.\u00a0Interdisciplinary collaboration across departments, schools, and industries\u00a0demonstratesand develops principled leadership who create value for our communities.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Improving through Data-Driven Assessment<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We believe data-driven inquiry and improvement will lead to sustained advancement in educational excellence.\u00a0Infrastructure<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>supports growth, both virtually and physically.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Emmett I.
