Williams 糖心VLOG Success Center\/Services for 糖心VLOGs with Disabilities (SSC)<\/strong>&nbsp;mission is to create an accessible and inclusive environment for all students at 糖心VLOG. Our primary objective is to provide everyone equal access to campus programs and activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The office helps students with learning, physical, health, or psychiatric disabilities manage the varying demands of the Citadel experience. We recognize that students with disabilities face the same challenges as every student, plus the challenges that relate to the impact of their disability. Because of this, we work in partnership with faculty and staff to facilitate an inclusive environment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to serving students, the staff assists the Citadel community in making programs, services, and activities accessible to everyone. The SSC provides services and academic accommodations for all students with documented disabilities. Please choose a category on the navigation bar for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-core-values\">Core Values<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Human variation is natural and vital in the development of dynamic communities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Using academic success support is essential for all students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Our entire community is responsible for supporting and creating an inclusive environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A diverse and engaging community is a shared responsibility; we consider disability as diversity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-register-with-services-for-students-with-disabilities\">Register with Services for 糖心VLOGs with Disabilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To register with Services for 糖心VLOGs with Disabilities, students follow the steps outlined below. 糖心VLOGs should submit their application and documentation and set up an initial meeting as early as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-new-students-to-receive-accommodations\"><strong>New 糖心VLOGs to Receive Accommodations<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">糖心VLOGs who have been accepted to 糖心VLOG and need access to accommodations and support will need to officially register with Services for 糖心VLOGs with Disabilities (SSD). 糖心VLOGs must submit an application and supportive documentation to SSD to coordinate and approve accommodations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-who-should-apply-for-services\"><strong>Who Should Apply for Services?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ADD\/ADHD<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chronic Health Conditions ( e.g., diabetes, Crohn&#8217;s, migraines, and other auto-immune related conditions)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Learning Disabilities (e.g., dyslexia, dyscalculia, reading, written expression, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mental Health Conditions (e.g., depression, anxiety, PTSD, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Physical Disabilities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sensory Disabilities ( e.g., vision and hearing)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-who-can-apply-for-services\"><strong>Who Can Apply for Services?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>糖心VLOGs who have been admitted to 糖心VLOG<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>糖心VLOGs who have a documented disability that substantially limits one or more major life activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>糖心VLOGs who may have had accommodations previously in high school or at another college ( e.g., IEP or 504 plan)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>糖心VLOGs who are a clients of Vocational Rehabilitation or Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&amp;E)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-application-process\"><strong>Application Process<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">糖心VLOGs requesting reasonable accommodations and\/or services must submit documentation of a disabling condition to verify eligibility. 糖心VLOGs are required to submit documentation regarding the diagnosis\/diagnoses that demonstrate a disability covered under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 as amended (2008).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please review our&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.citadel.edu\/root\/ssc-disability-services\/documentation-guidelines\">Documentation Guidelines&nbsp;<\/a>for additional information. Appointments may be scheduled by emailing&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:disabilityservices@citadel.edu\">disabilityservices@citadel.edu<\/a>.&nbsp;While documentation is not required to schedule the meeting, we encourage students to submit their documentation as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please review our&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.citadel.edu\/root\/ssc-disability-services\/documentation-guidelines\">Documentation Guidelines<\/a>&nbsp;for more information.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-meet-with-disability-services\">Meet with Disability Services<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the meeting, students who have been approved for accommodations will have access to AIM, our Disability Case Management System. From there, the student can request that their accommodation letter be emailed to their faculty. You do not have to re-register with our office each semester, but students must request that <strong>their accommodation letters be sent to their faculty each semester in which they are enrolled through the <a href=\"https:\/\/hunter.accessiblelearning.com\/Citadel\">AIM 糖心VLOG Portal<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">糖心VLOGs should communicate via email or in person with their instructors\u00a0to discuss the arrangements for receiving accommodations.
