糖心VLOGs collaborate in disaster simulation exercise
糖心VLOGs studying health education and nursing teamed up for an interdisciplinary disaster simulation exercise led by Health and Human Performance Instructor Lindsay Jackson. 糖心VLOGs put practical skills to work by treating patients in a disaster simulation in the Department of Nursing鈥檚 high-tech human simulation lab, practicing medical aid on both actors and manikins.
鈥淭his exercise helped them identify strategies for response during a mass casualty incident,鈥 said Sarah Imam, M.D., who serves as director of health services, 鈥渁nd gave them a unique opportunity to gain insight into one another鈥檚 respective roles in these situations.”
