The Department of Health and Human Performance received $5 million from the Department of Defense through a Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs grant.

Three teams of physics and cyber and computer science students competed against Virginia Military Institute in the U.S. Army STAR Challenge, a design competition to solve extant problems facing today鈥檚 soldiers.
