A CitListen is a participatory event where attendees are invited to share personal stories in response to questions and prompts posed by experienced facilitators. Sessions allow us to:
- Make new connections or deepen existing relationships
- Learn from each other鈥檚 stories and experiences
- Take time for self-reflection
- Practice the art of deep listening
- Expand our empathy and compassion
Following the methodology of what are traditionally called Racial Healing Circles, CitListen sessions are welcoming spaces grounded on trust and respect.
A typical CitListen will be 90 minutes long with 25 or less participants and 2 or more experienced facilitators. We are happy to work with faculty, staff, student and community groups to design unique sessions, including shorter sessions based on your needs.
Visit our Citadel TRHT Events page for up-to-date information on how to join an upcoming CitListen.
